Introduction

                         Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT) is established by Sir M.Visvesvaraya Education Trust, Bangalore in 1991 with an objective of promoting research oriented advanced courses in the field Engineering. it has a vast experience in running courses in the field of Engineering. It has vast experience in running professional courses in the state of Karnataka. Achieving excellence in education in the main aim of RGIT.It has the academic excellence, good infrastructure and best teaching practice, which has helped RGIT to become one of the leading institutes of the state. the college has the following branches in Engineering degree Course with an intake of 60 students in each Branch.

                         The College is situated in the heart of Bangalore city. The distance from CET cell is 3 kms & city Railway station is 7 kms. it is situated in a panoramic place with its vast campus.

                         The college has spacious lecture halls well equipped laboratories, workshop facilities, an excellent library, separate hostel for Boys & Girls, Co-operative society, sports & gymnastic facilities etc. All these facilities have helped to create an academic environment in the campus.Each department has well-qualified, component, experienced staff who are willing to help the students to acheive thier goal. They are supported by Non-Teaching staff comprising of Foreman, Instructors, Laboratory Technicians & capable administration Staff.
